Job summary

Zepto is hiring a Python Developer for backend engineering to scale our services in a fast-paced environment. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable Python-based backends, building REST APIs with FastAPI/Flask/Django and working with distributed databases.

You will contribute to microservices, messaging systems, and cloud deployments, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming experience.
• Proficient with REST APIs and backend development.
• Hands-on with FastAPI / Flask / Django and relational databases.
• Familiar with Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build and integrate REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL and write optimized SQL queries.
• Develop microservices and event-driven systems.
• Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Implement caching, concurrency, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS/cloud platforms using Docker and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
