Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Python backend experience with FastAPI and REST APIs.
• Experience in cloud-based data workflows and MLOps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate APIs exposing statistical models and machine learning solutions to frontend and external systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to operationalize models in production.
• Integrate backend services with Azure data lake, Databricks, and Azure DevOps.
• Implement secure authentication and API security measures.
• Write modular, maintainable code following best practices.
• Optimize performance for high-volume data processing workloads.
• Develop automated tests using pytest.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to connect React frontends with backend services.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release processes.
• Support ML flow and MLOps for model versioning, monitoring, lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Create and maintain API specs and operational runbooks.

Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Python backend developer with strong expertise in backend application development to join our team. The role involves managing development of FastAPI based applications to run large data modeling, and leveraging the Databricks platform. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in backend development, Data science model basics, and cloud-based solutions to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation within our portfolio.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbook.
