Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python for Web, API, and backend applications. The role covers functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing with UI/API automation using Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework.

You will integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab), analyze results, log defects, and collaborate with developers to improve quality.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest, Unittest, or Robot Framework.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright automation.
• API testing experience using Requests Library, Postman, or REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• CI/CD & DevOps Experience integrating automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized test execution.
