Job summary

ADP is seeking a Python API Developer with hands-on experience in AI-assisted development to design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs. The role emphasizes AI-driven testing, secure API design, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, located in a hybrid work environment.

The candidate will work with FastAPI/Flask, manage relational and NoSQL databases, and participate in CI/CD processes to ensure robust delivery and maintenance throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong proficiency in FastAPI or Flask for building RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development — prompt engineering, AI code generation, and AI-driven testing.
• Familiarity with AIDLC methodology — requirement gathering with AI, automated story creation, AI-augmented code reviews.
• Solid knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) — schema design, query optimization, indexing.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases — requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of API security (OAuth2, JWT, input validation).
