Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager with deep expertise in Python and Ansible to lead a high-performing engineering and automation team. You will own solution architecture, set engineering best practices, and drive automation at scale across infrastructure and applications.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a delivery mindset to build secure, reliable, and scalable systems while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product teams in India.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of total experience with 3–4 years in technical leadership/management.
• Strong Python fundamentals: async I/O, typing, packaging, virtualenv/Poetry, pytest/pytest-xdist, linting/formatting (flake8/black), and performance profiling.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one production framework: FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Ansible expertise: playbooks, roles, inventories, Jinja2 templating, dynamic inventories, Ansible Vault, Collections, and AWX/Ansible Tower.
• Understanding of idempotency, testing (Molecule), and performance tuning (strategies, forks, delegation).
• CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins; artifact management and semantic versioning.
• Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (Helm/Kustomize), and basic service mesh concepts.
• Cloud experience (one or more): AWS, Azure, or GCP; IAM, networking basics, VPC/VNet, load balancers, and storage.
• Observability tools: Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, tracing, metrics, and alerting.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, distributed systems basics, REST/gRPC, and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
