Hexaware Technologies in Bangalore is seeking a Python AI-Augmented Application Developer with 5–9 years of hands-on Python experience. The role focuses on building performant REST APIs with FastAPI, integrating RabbitMQ, and leveraging AI tooling for prompt engineering and code optimization.

You will work within an Agile environment, applying SDLC principles, and contribute to scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions while mentoring junior developers.

Competenze

• 5–9 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong REST API experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Experience with RabbitMQ messaging and ORM (SQLAlchemy).
• Familiarity with multi-threading, async programming, and testing.

Must have skills: Python, FastAPI, Message Queue - RabbitMQ or similiar tools and AI tools - RAG, LLM Architecture

Job Description:

• 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong experience in building REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks. FastAPI is preferred.
• Strong experience with Message Queue RabbitMQ is preferred.
• Strong experience with ORM frameworks, including SQL Alchemy, and database migration tools such as Alembic.
• Experience in writing clean, maintainable, scalable, high-performance code and unit testing.
• Deep understanding of Pythons multi-threading, multi-processing, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience in Prompt engineering, vibe coding, using AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar coding assistants.
• Ability to review, validate, and optimize AI-generated code while ensuring maintainability, security, and performance standards.
• Experience and knowledge of SDLC and agile framework.

Nice to have skills

• Exposure to modern engineering platforms such as Harness / Specification-Driven Development (SDD).
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI/LLM-based services into applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Experience with Redis or other caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
