Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Purchasing Specialist 2 in India to lead strategic procurement across SEC projects EE/ME commodities. You will drive supplier negotiations, audits, and development while partnering with R&D, Quality, and global functions to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Material Group strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, flexibility, innovation and supplier performance across SEC projects EE/ME commodities.
• Build strong global stakeholder relationships with R&D, Procurement, Quality and other global functions, working independently across locations.
• Lead supplier audits, assessments and development to drive process, quality and compliance improvements.
• Conduct market, benchmark and cost analysis to identify sourcing and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Manage the full Supplier Life Cycle — sourcing, qualification, onboarding, evaluation, development, consolidation and phase-out.
• Lead global supplier negotiations and contract management to secure competitive commercial terms.
• Drive cost-down, technical cost optimization, localization and supplier development initiatives.
• Support NPI and new-part sourcing, including supplier qualification, sample/FA readiness and mass-production readiness.
• Identify and mitigate supply, supplier and commercial risks, ensuring timely escalation and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive procurement digitalization, automation and e-procurement excellence.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving with R&D, Quality, Production and Supply Planning to improve supplier and business performance.
