Responsibilities

• Drive vendor management across procurement, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Develop robust vendor ecosystem for direct and indirect procurement.
• Collaborate with Quality, Legal, Finance, Operations, ESG/Compliance to enhance supplier governance.
• Drive cost optimization, delivery reliability, and sustainability with suppliers.
• Manage vendor relationships, NDAs, contracts, and terms with Legal.
• Maintain AVL and supplier master data.
• Monitor vendor performance on quality, cost, delivery, service and compliance.
• Ensure procurement documents are available for audits.
• Participate in internal and external audits and audit readiness.
• Coordinate supplier agreements with Legal and Purchase Head.

Support & learn procurement and vendor sourcing activities by assisting the purchase team, maintaining records, coordinating with suppliers and learning entire procurement processes to ensure timely material & vendor availability

Major Areas of Contribution:

• Strategic Contribution:
• Drive vendor management practices aligned with organizational objectives across procurement, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Develop and strengthen a robust and compliant vendor ecosystem for both direct and indirect procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Legal, Finance, Operations, ESG/Compliance) to enhance supplier governance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers focusing on cost optimization, quality, delivery reliability, and sustainability.
• Manage vendor relationships including commercial negotiations and contract alignment with organizational and legal requirements
• Functional Contribution:
• Lead vendor sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding for direct (production) and indirect (non-production) categories.
• Conduct supplier assessments including capability evaluation, financial stability checks, and risk profiling.
• Perform supplier audits and factory visits to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance.
• Ensure supplier adherence to statutory, regulatory, ethical, ESG, and company-specific requirements.
• Coordinate and manage supplier agreements (NDAs, contracts, commercial terms) in collaboration with Legal and Purchase Head.
• Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and supplier master data.
• Monitor vendor performance across quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance parameters.
• Drive resolution of vendor-related issues such as quality deviations, continuous delivery delays, and compliance gaps.
• Ensure availability and accuracy of procurement documentation for internal and external audits.
• Actively participate in internal and external audits and support audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality/QA teams to strengthen process understanding and supplier performance.

Success Indicators in First 3 Months

• Complete training in purchase processes
• Independently maintain purchase sourcing and vendor development activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and internal systems
