Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
• 6–12+ years of procurement experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.

Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially sharp Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing operations in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end strategic procurement, domestic and global vendor management, and contract negotiation to drive cost-efficiency while maintaining our stringent quality standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute robust procurement strategies for direct materials (specialty ingredients, plant-based proteins, sweeteners, chemicals) and indirect materials (packaging, marketing materials).
• Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and evaluate dependable domestic and global suppliers. Continuously monitor vendor performance against KPIs for cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate commercial pricing, credit/payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to hit annual cost-saving benchmarks without risking material quality.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain Planning teams to align purchasing schedules with manufacturing workflows and accelerate new product development (NPD).
• Inventory & Risk Management: Monitor global market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and inventory levels to optimize working capital and hedge effectively against supply chain disruptions.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased raw materials strictly adhere to national/international industry regulatory requirements, corporate compliance guidelines, and sustainability standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
• Experience: 6 to 12+ years of progressive procurement experience, ideally within FMCG, food processing, ingredients, or manufacturing environments.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of supplier relationship management (SRM), market research tools, MS Office (Advanced Excel), and core proficiency with ERP and supply chain management software.
• Core Competencies: Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of logistics.
