Job summary

Advance Power Display Systems in Mumbai seeks a procurement leader to shape purchasing strategy, drive cost savings, and streamline supplier management.

You will oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and SLAs, and manage the end-to-end buying cycle from specs to delivery.

Collaborate with accounting, manufacturing, and marketing to forecast needs, monitor spend, and report to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing policies and strategies to align with company objectives, focusing on cost savings and efficiency.
• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors; negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Manage the entire buying cycle, from reviewing specifications and processing orders to ensuring timely delivery and managing inventory.
• Analyze expenditures, monitor market trends, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Recruit, train, and manage purchasing staff, setting goals and conducting appraisals.
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., accounting, manufacturing, marketing) to understand needs and coordinate activities.
• Monitor performance, track expenditures, and provide reports to upper management.
