in Noida Special Economic Zone seeks a seasoned Purchase Manager to lead procurement of ayurvedic herbs, raw materials, packaging, and engineering items; drive vendor selection and price negotiation; ensure timely availability and GMP/SOP compliance. The role requires 58 years of relevant experience in Ayurvedic/pharma manufacturing, strong ERP and Excel skills, and team leadership to build alternate sources, monitor supplier performance, and deliver cost

Qualifications

• Graduate in Pharmacy, Commerce, Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• MBA/PGDM in Procurement/Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
• 58 years of relevant experience, preferably in Ayurvedic/Pharma/Herbal Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of Ayurvedic herbs, raw materials, extracts, oils, excipients, and active ingredients.
• Procure primary/secondary packaging materials, consumables, and engineering items.
• Identify, develop, and manage approved and reliable vendors.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate price, quality, delivery, MOQ, and payment terms.
• Prepare, release, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs).
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, QA/QC, Stores, Finance, R&D, and Engineering.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, quality issues, and complaints.
• Drive cost reduction, price benchmarking, and procurement savings.
• Maintain optimum inventory and minimize stock-outs and emergency purchases.
• Ensure procurement compliance with GMP, SOPs, quality standards and company policies.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation, MIS, and procurement reports.
• Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value materials.
• Lead, guide, and monitor the Purchase/Procurement team.
• Support vendor qualification, audits, and vendor evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement cost, quality, delivery and efficiency.
