Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of procurement or purchase experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Experience in sourcing engineering components, fabricated items, sheet metal, machined parts, electrical items, or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, fabricated parts, engineering components, consumables, and services as per production requirements.
• Float RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and identify new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with production, planning, stores, quality, and accounts departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Resolve issues related to quality, shortages, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and support material planning to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have strong vendor management skills, negotiation expertise, and experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, fabricated parts, engineering components, consumables, and services as per production requirements.

• Experience in sourcing engineering components, fabricated items, sheet metal, machined parts, electrical items, or industrial equipment is preferred.

• Knowledge of GST documentation and commercial terms.


• Familiarity with ISO standards and procurement best practices.
