Public Relations Manager – Bengaluru Office
Burson, part of WPP, is a global communications leader. We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to join our client‑servicing team in Bengaluru, working within the Enterprise Technology practice. The role supports B2B clients across the enterprise technology spectrum, delivering evidence‑based communication campaigns and thought‑leadership programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, strategic, integrated communication programs that align with client business objectives.
- Act as day‑to‑day client leader, maintaining clear communication between the client and the account team.
- Oversee quality implementation and manage time and budget constraints for one or a group of accounts.
- Serve as a key contact, counselor, and strategic thinker for client relationships.
- Make timely decisions, identifying problems and finding solutions under tight deadlines.
- Write and develop materials such as Q&A, key messages, holding statements, press releases and other communications.
- Support senior managers in resolving client issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media covering client industries.
- Develop media strategies, write pitch letters, and respond to media queries.
- Stay current on social media channels, trends, and analytical tools; recommend improvements.
- Support digital media strategy implementation.
- Leverage Generative AI tools across communications programmes, especially in planning, research, ideation, and content creation.
- Acquire working knowledge of WPP proprietary AI tools.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and potential clients.
- Participate proactively in new‑business brainstorming and take ownership of proposal sections under senior leaders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in public relations or communications, with at least one year leading a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communication, or a related field.
