Job summary

Accor in Bengaluru is seeking a Public Area Executive to keep hotel public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. You will inspect lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and banquet areas, and operate cleaning equipment to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, facilities maintenance, or hospitality is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas: lobby, corridors, restrooms, restaurants, banquet spaces, meeting rooms, gym, spa, and outdoor entrances.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Stock washrooms with soaps, tissues, and towels; maintain waste disposal areas.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely and follow hygiene and safety procedures.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special events setup when required.
• Respond to guest requests related to public area cleanliness.
• Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Public Area Executive

The Public Area Executive ensures that all public spaces within the hotel are clean, well-maintained, safe, and presentable at all times. This role involves routine cleaning, inspection, and upkeep of lobbies, corridors, restrooms, banquet areas, recreational facilities, and other common areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including:
  • Lobby and reception areas
  • Corridors and elevators
  • Public restrooms
  • Restaurants and banquet spaces
  • Meeting rooms
  • Gym, spa, and recreational facilities
  • Outdoor entrances and walkways
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Ensure public washrooms are stocked with supplies such as soap, tissues, and hand towels.
• Remove trash and maintain waste disposal areas.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning machinery safely.
• Follow hotel cleanliness standards, hygiene procedures, and safety regulations.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special events setup when required.
• Respond promptly to guest requests related to public area cleanliness.
• Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications
