Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Prototype Technician to conduct tests on products, components, and work-in-progress, and to document results. You will install, maintain, and operate testing software and equipment, and help define testing criteria.

Responsibilities include preparing tests, calibrating equipment, assembling components, validating performance, and maintaining test data and safety. This role offers hands-on engineering exposure within a global automotive supplier environment.

• Selects and ensures proper calibration of test equipment required for each specific test.
• Properly assembles and disassembles components pre- and post-test.
• Validates product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental and operational tests.
• Documents test outcomes by completing test logs.
• Collects and documents test data.
• Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Keeps test equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contributes to engineering and organization success by readily adapting to change; continuously seeking opportunities to improve.
• All other duties as assigned.
