Job summary

SFC Environmental Technologies Limited in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Proposal Engineer – Membrane Technologies (UF, RO, MBR, MABR) to prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals for wastewater and water recycling projects.

You will review tender documents, perform process design calculations, and develop BOQ/BOM with Capex and Opex estimates, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely bid submissions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling projects.
• B.E./B.Tech in Environmental, Chemical Engineering.
• M.E./M. Tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and client requirements to develop technically feasible wastewater treatment solutions using UF, RO, MBR, and MABR.
• Perform process design calculations including mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and treatment scheme selection.
• Prepare detailed BOQ/BOM covering civil, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation with Capex and Opex estimations.
• Develop techno-commercial proposals including technical write-ups, datasheets, process flow diagrams, and compliance statements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
• Support bid submissions by preparing DPRs and maintaining proposal documentation and market data.

Role Definition :

The Proposal Engineer – Membrane Technologies (UF, RO, MBR, MABR) will be responsible for preparing comprehensive and competitive techno-commercial proposals for wastewater and water recycling projects. This position requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment technologies, process and hydraulic design, BOQ/BOM preparation, and project cost estimation. The role involves evaluating tender documents, designing treatment schemes, compiling Capex and Opex, and preparing bid documentation in compliance with client and industry requirements. The engineer will also coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality bid submissions.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.E. / B. Tech in Environmental, Chemical Engineering.
• M.E. / M. Tech is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate tender documents, technical specifications, and client requirements to develop technically feasible wastewater treatment solutions using technologies such as UF, RO, MBR, and MABR.
• Perform process design calculations including mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and treatment scheme selection to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BOQ/BOM covering civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation components along with accurate Capex and Opex estimations for project costing.
• Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals including technical write-ups, datasheets, process flow diagrams, design philosophy, and compliance statements aligned with tender specifications.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external vendors to obtain equipment quotations, conduct technical-commercial evaluations, and ensure competitive and optimized project pricing.
• Support bid submissions by preparing DPRs, maintaining proposal documentation and market data, and participating in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and site visits to ensure timely and high-quality proposal delivery.
