Job summary

FLSmidth in Chennai is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Global Proposal Team within the Mining organization as part of the GPLM Team. You will support global and regional sales and proposal teams with technical and commercial proposal requirements, delivering on-time responses and coordinating with Sales, Engineering and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mineral Processing Engineering from a reputed University.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in the Mineral processing Industry.
• Exposure to international working environment and handling international/domestic projects preferred.
• Knowledge of International Codes & Standards and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of detailed technical Proposal documents for both domestic & global offices.
• Application knowledge for various minerals application.
• Equipment sizing for various minerals application.
• Preparation of standard templates and bill of material of products on need basis.
• Tender document review & deviations.
• Knowledge of costing / estimation will be added advantage. Attend technical meetings with customer.
• Travel to client place for technical discussions on need basis.
• Plan & coordinate for technical inputs with Sales team to meet the proposal schedules.
• Closely work with Engineering and Estimation teams to meet common intended objective to complete the task.

About the department:

You will be joining the Global Proposal Team in the Mining organization as a part GPLM Team To support the global & regional sales and proposal teams' technical & commercial proposal requirements with on-time delivery of proposals and clarification responses. Coordinate with internal stack holders like Sales, Engineering, and Procurement and external stack holders like vendors, clients, etc.

Your responsibilities

• Preparation of detailed technical Proposal documents for both domestic & global offices.
• Application knowledge for various minerals application.
• Equipment sizing for various minerals application.
• Preparation of standard templates and bill of material of products on need basis.
• Tender document review & deviations.
• Knowledge of costing / estimation will be added advantage Attend technical meetings with customer (as & when required).

What you bring

• Product knowledge of crushers, screen and feeders as above.
• Ability to interpret the test report & size the equipment.
• Should have basic knowledge of proposal flow process for both domestic & global environment including equipment sizing, bill of material, proposal documentation, etc.
• The relevant experience in similar products with exposure to international working environment and handled international/domestic projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of International Codes & Standards Ability to read the product engineering drawings.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mineral Processing Engineering from a reputed University.

Experience

4 to 10 years of experience in the Mineral processing Industry.
