Job summary

Synechron in Mumbai is seeking a Prompt Engineer to design, develop and optimize prompts for large language models, including OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama. You will build GenAI solutions, implement RAG, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-driven outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on prompt engineering, NLP/ML concepts and Python, with opportunities to work with data scientists and developers on AI projects, create prompt libraries and

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize prompts for LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama.
• Build and enhance GenAI solutions leveraging Prompt Engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Evaluate LLM responses and continuously improve model outputs for accuracy, relevance, and safety.
• Develop AI assistants, chatbots, and knowledge management solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Create prompt libraries, templates, and best-practice documentation.
• Conduct experimentation and A/B testing for prompt optimization.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Developers on AI projects.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Prompt Engineering and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral).
• Good understanding of NLP, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning concepts.
• Experience with RAG, Vector Databases, Embeddings, and Semantic Search.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating AI models into applications.
• Knowledge of model evaluation, prompt tuning, and fine-tuning techniques.
