Job summary

Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited in Chennai seeks an experienced Senior Project Planner to support planning, scheduling and control across LBU/LPG projects. You will develop comprehensive project plans during tender and execution, establish schedules and budgets, and forecast status against baselines.

The role requires 8–12 years in project management, EPC planning experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical background and proficient in project planning, control and reporting.
  • 8–12 years of professional work experience in project management.
  • Planning experience in Power Grids / FACTS / AIS and GIS.
  • Experience with PMP plans and PS&E.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 planning tool.
  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) planning.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Coordinate all work on the project, ensuring that objectives are met within budget.Conduct site visits to verify progress and identify any potential and critical issues.Work with the teams to recommend recovery plans and update the schedule and budget accordingly.Notify LPG Lead planner / Portfolio leader/ Project controls manager (as part of project team for ‘A’ projects) of any deviation or scheduling issue and provides input for optimizing resources. Issue progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders.
