Job summary

Ashoka Buildcon Limited is seeking a senior power-sector leader to head the execution of its pan-India portfolio of EHV Transmission, Substation and Distribution projects across EPC and TBCB models. You will own project delivery from award through commissioning and commercial operation — providing strategic direction to Project Managers and Engineering Heads across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• 25–30 years of progressive experience in execution and business management of EHV Transmission, Substation and Distribution projects.
• Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role managing multiple EPC/TBCB projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale transmission/renewable evacuation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio leadership: Drive execution of AIS & GIS substations, EHV transmission lines, renewable evacuation, Green Energy Corridor, pooling substations and grid interconnection projects across India.
• Execution governance: Establish project governance frameworks, SOPs, risk management systems and performance dashboards; lead monthly portfolio reviews on schedule, cost, quality, safety and commercial outcomes.
• Commercial & contract management: Strategic oversight of EPC contracts, TBCB agreements, claims, EOT, variations and arbitration support; drive improvement in project margins, cash flow and commercial closure.
• Procurement & construction oversight: Coordinate with OEMs on critical equipment; guide site teams through civil, erection, testing and commissioning.
• Compliance & HSE: Ensure adherence to Electricity Act 2003, CEA/CERC/SERC regulations, Grid Code, TSA obligations and IS/IEC standards; champion Zero Harm safety culture.

About the Role

• Portfolio leadership — Drive execution of 765/400/220/132 kV AIS & GIS substations, EHV transmission lines, renewable energy evacuation, Green Energy Corridor, pooling substations and grid interconnection projects across India.
• Execution governance — Establish project governance frameworks, SOPs, risk management systems and performance dashboards; lead monthly portfolio reviews on schedule, cost, quality, safety and commercial outcomes.
• Commercial & contract management — Strategic oversight of EPC contracts, TBCB agreements, claims, EOT, variations and arbitration support; drive improvement in project margins, cash flow and commercial closure.
• Procurement & construction oversight — Coordinate with OEMs on critical equipment (transformers, GIS, protection & automation, SCADA/SAS); guide site teams through civil, erection, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience: 25–30 years of progressive experience in execution and business management of EHV Transmission, Substation and Distribution projects, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role managing multiple EPC/TBCB projects simultaneously.
• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory); M.Tech (Power Systems) and/or MBA/PGDM preferred.
• Track record: Proven delivery of TBCB/ISTS projects, Green Energy Corridor or renewable evacuation infrastructure, and utility-scale transmission networks (400 kV and above) — with POWERGRID, MSETCL, or private transmission developers.
• Leadership: Strategic decision-making, financial and commercial acumen, client relationship management, and a demonstrated ability to build high-performing project leadership teams.
