Job summary

Isgec Heavy Engineering in Dahej, Gujarat is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead end-to-end heavy fabrication projects and manage a team of engineers.

You will monitor scope, budget, schedule, ensure ASME compliance, coordinate with design, planning, QA and clients, and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

This role demands strong MS Project skills, proactive risk management, and clear stakeholder communication to deliver on-time, within-budget outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end projects related to heavy fabrication and proprietary equipment.
• Lead and manage a team of Project Engineers and coordinate project activities.
• Plan, monitor, and control project execution in line with approved scope, budget, quality, and schedule.
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using MS Project.
• Monitor manufacturing progress and provide regular project progress reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure effective cost control and monitor project expenditure against the approved budget.
• Coordinate with clients for project requirements, technical discussions, progress updates, inspections, and other project-related matters.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Design & Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Dispatch for smooth project execution.
• Identify project delays, bottlenecks, and risks and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Review project milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASME Codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Possess sound knowledge of static equipment and its manufacturing/project execution requirements.
• Review technical and commercial aspects of projects and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
• Maintain proper project documentation, records, and management reports.
• Ensure effective communication among clients, project team, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
