Job Title: Project Manager – Software Engineering
Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with 12+ years of experience leading complex software engineering initiatives across cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, high‑quality software products on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of software engineering projects, from concept through deployment and post‑launch support.
- Partner with engineering, product, design, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and dependency maps.
- Drive Agile and/or hybrid delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall as appropriate).
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and resource constraints; implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships where applicable.
- Ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives.
- Track and report project status, KPIs, and delivery outcomes to senior leadership.
- Champion continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and team collaboration.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to PM best practices and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience managing software engineering or technology projects.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, cloud‑based architectures, APIs, and modern engineering practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile frameworks and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working with distributed and cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications.
- Background in SaaS, data platforms, or enterprise systems.
- Experience managing regulatory, security, or compliance‑driven projects.
- Previous people leadership or program management experience.
