Job summary

Simplify Alpha in Pune, India seeks a Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead software delivery engagements. You will orchestrate Agile ceremonies, maintain project plans, and bridge delivery teams with client stakeholders to drive on-time, high-quality outcomes.

You’ll own sprint planning, backlog grooming with the Product Owner, remove blockers, coach teams in Agile practices, and produce concise status updates for internal and client audiences.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of project management experience in software product implementations or technology delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience running Scrum ceremonies and working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to managed detailed, line-level project plans and track multi-workstream programs.
• Experience interfacing directly with external clients and delivering professional status communications.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and continuously improve all Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Maintain and groom the product backlog in close collaboration with the Product Owner and technical leads
• Remove impediments, shield the team from scope disruptions, and create conditions for a high-performing delivery environment
• Coach team members on Agile principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Own and maintain a detailed line-level project plan across all workstreams — tracking tasks, milestones, dependencies, and critical path items
• Monitor sprint velocity, identify trends, and proactively flag risks and schedule impacts to the Program Lead
• Track resource utilization across team members, flagging over-allocation or capacity gaps in advance
• Ensure delivery artifacts are completed on time and meet quality standards
• Produce clear, concise, and accurate status reports on a regular cadence (weekly / bi-weekly) for both internal and external audiences
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on day-to-day project matters — providing timely, professional updates on progress, risks, and decisions
• Escalate appropriately to the Program Lead / Account Executive, ensuring no surprises in either direction
• Prepare meeting agendas, document decisions and action items, and track follow-through to closure
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional team members including business analysts, developers, QA, and solution architects
• Foster psychological safety within the team, encouraging open communication and collaborative problem-solving
• Partner with the Program Lead to align project delivery with broader account goals and client success metrics
