Job summary

UST in Pune is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end software delivery. You will drive planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication across engineering, QA, product, and DevOps.

The role emphasizes delivering on time and within budget, coordinating cross-functional teams, and guiding projects through SDLC using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall approaches. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software/IT project management.
• Experience with SDLC and with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong planning, organization, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project delivery from initiation through deployment and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA, product, architecture, DevOps, and other cross‑functional teams.
• Track project progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and actions, ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage project scope, priorities, changes, and delivery commitments.
• Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Manage customer/client communication and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor project financials, resource utilization, budgets, and overall project health.
• Ensure adherence to organizational processes, quality standards, and delivery methodologies.
• Identify potential delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes, delivery efficiency, and team performance.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective collaboration between business and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software/IT project management, with demonstrated experience managing end‑to‑end software projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong planning, organization, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing distributed/cross‑functional teams.
• Good understanding of project financials, resource management, and delivery metrics.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing multiple projects or complex enterprise software programs.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, DevOps, APIs, and modern software development practices.
• Experience working with global customers and geographically distributed teams.
