Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. seeks a Project Manager to define scope, schedules, budgets and lead cross-functional teams from R&D to manufacturing.

You will manage budgets, track forecasts, and produce stakeholder updates to ensure milestones are met and projects stay aligned with strategic goals. The role emphasizes system-level thinking, technical reviews, risk management, and ensuring translation of requirements into actionable engineering and manufacturing plans.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and budget requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Work closely with R&D division to identify technological gaps and develop projects/initiatives for new products and technologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Manage project budgets and track expenditures against forecasts.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Resolve project issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and lessons learned for future improvement.
• Apply system-level thinking to understand interactions among mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operational functions.
• Support engineering decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate technical reviews, design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Ensure project requirements are translated into executable engineering and manufacturing plans.
• Identify and resolve integration issues affecting system performance, cost, quality, and schedule.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, supply chain, and quality teams to support product realization.
• Understand manufacturing processes, production constraints, tooling requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and proactively mitigate technical and operational risks.
• Support in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Capture lessons learned and implement best practices across projects.
