Job summary

Azodha in Pune is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Scrum Master to own delivery end-to-end within a small, fast-moving healthcare technology team. You will drive project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks with US clients, shaping how care is delivered.

You’ll mentor the team on Agile practices, shield developers from noise, and collaborate with Product Owners to refine backlog. The role requires 8–12 years’ experience, CSM/PSM/PMP, and comfort working across time zones with a daily overlap

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of combined experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master, preferably in healthcare tech or regulated environments.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMP strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Agile/project tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar).
• Experience managing budget, scope, and schedule across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Working understanding of Data & AI concepts to plan and de-risk AI-driven feature delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Project & Delivery Management

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with engineering leads and US healthcare clients
• Manage timelines, resource allocation, and budget tracking/forecasting across concurrent workstreams
• Maintain visibility into cross-team dependencies and risks; upscale early and drive resolution
• Report on project velocity, risks, and KPIs to leadership and external stakeholders.

• Facilitate core Agile ceremonies - daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives
• Proactively identify and remove impediments; shield developers from external noise and context-switching
• Coach the team on Agile principles, self-organization, and continuous improvement - this team is still maturing its practices, not maintaining an inherited playbook
• Partner closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritization

Healthcare & Technical Context

• Build enough fluency in US healthcare workflows (scheduling, dispatch, EMR integration, HIPAA-relevant data handling) to translate clinical and compliance requirements into actionable sprint work
• Understand enough about Data & AI concepts to plan realistic timelines and flag technical risk early - you won't be building the AI systems, but you need to speak the language of the engineers who are
• Support release readiness for HIPAA-relevant features and interoperability work (HL7/FHIR-adjacent integrations) alongside engineering and compliance

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

• Act as the primary bridge between the cross-functional team and external stakeholders, including US-based clients
• Mentor team members on Agile maturity and self-organization as the team and processes scale
• Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability across a distributed, multi-geography team

What You Bring

• 8-12 years of combined experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach - ideally including healthcare technology or another regulated industry
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMP strongly preferred
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Agile/project tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
• Demonstrated experience managing budget, scope, and schedule across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Working understanding of Data & AI concepts sufficient to plan and de-risk AI-driven feature delivery
• Exceptional conflict resolution, servant leadership, and stakeholder communication skills - comfortable with real ownership in a small, fast-moving team, not just executing an existing process
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
• Willingness to work a shift with a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with US Eastern Time (EST), given daily collaboration with US-based healthcare clients

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience in US healthcare or another regulated environment (Pharma, Insurance)
• Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, or EMR/EHR integration workflows
• Experience managing AI or ML-driven product programs
• Experience working directly with US-based healthcare clients or stakeholders across time zones
• Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where processes are still being built, not just maintained.
