About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Materials Science to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering, materials innovation, and infrastructure-related projects.

The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, researchers, technical specialists, contractors, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical and quality requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, advanced materials, testing methodologies, and engineering project management principles.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning and design through implementation and completion.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management frameworks.
  • Monitor project performance against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical oversight on projects involving construction materials, advanced materials, sustainability solutions, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Evaluate material performance, testing results, and engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to translate research findings into practical engineering applications.
  • Review technical documentation, engineering reports, and project deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the key liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, research institutions, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and project review meetings.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk, Quality & Compliance
  • Identify technical and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.
  • Oversee project audits, testing activities, and validation processes.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution.
Business & Commercial Support
  • Support proposal development, project costing, and contract management activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for innovation and commercialization of new materials technologies.
  • Contribute to strategic partnerships with industry, academia, and government agencies.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Construction Materials, Structural Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
Experience
  • 7–12 years of experience in project management, engineering consulting, infrastructure development, construction materials, or materials technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience working with construction materials, concrete technologies, composites, sustainable materials, geotechnical materials, or advanced materials is highly desirable.
  • Experience engaging with contractors, consultants, testing laboratories, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Construction materials and material characterization
    • Concrete and cementitious technologies
    • Sustainable and low-carbon materials
    • Infrastructure and civil engineering practices
    • Materials testing and quality assurance
    • Engineering standards and specifications
