Qualifications

• 15+ years of high-end project management and delivery leadership experience.

We are seeking a highly experienced and uncompromising Senior Project Manager to drive our most critical initiatives. This is a high-end project management role that goes far beyond passive administrative tracking or simple status reporting. The successful candidate will be expected to actively identify risks, anticipate missed deadlines, and enforce strict accountability across all project phases. You will not merely report on what has happened; you will dictate how the team will recover, who is responsible, and how commitments will be met.

In this highly active, hands-on role, you will be the driving force behind turning high-level semiconductor concepts into structured, executable programs. Your primary mandate is to master the upfront mechanics of program planning—rigorous scoping, logical sequencing, and precise estimation—while steering cross-functional teams through the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Program Scoping & Requirements Definition

• Scope Baseline: Partner with Product Management and Engineering Architects to translate market requirements into clear, bounded program scopes.
• Scope Control: Establish strict change-management protocols to evaluate and approve scope changes, minimizing feature creep and assessing impact on tape-out schedules.
• Baseline & Variance Tracking: Maintain an exhaustive project tracker detailing original baseline dates, revised dates, task owners, and current status.
• Trend Analysis: Identify recurring delays or bottlenecks within the project lifecycle and determine whether team velocity and project health are genuinely improving.
• Concise Executive Reporting: Synthesize detailed, task-level information (which remains in the project tracker) into high-impact, daily health updates. These daily reports must highlight exceptions, risks, and required decisions, and be concise enough for leadership.
• Dependency & Blocker Management: Aggressively unblock teams by chasing down dependencies, holding responsible parties accountable, and outlining the exact business impact if a blocker remains unresolved.

Execution & Delivery

• Rhythm of Business: Establish and lead core team meetings, phase-gate reviews, and executive steering committee updates.
• Risk Management: Quantify technical and schedule risks specific to semiconductor lifecycles (e.g., IP integration failures, yield issues, tape-out delays) and build robust contingency plans.
• Vendor/Foundry Management: Coordinate closely with external fabrication and testing partners to ensure external timelines align with internal program estimates.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of high-end project management and delivery leadership experience.
• Proven track record of rescuing off-track projects and enforcing recovery plans.
• Expertise in evidence-based tracking and executive-level risk escalation.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize complex project data into actionable, short briefings for leadership.
• Analytical Rigor: Advanced ability to break down massive technical ambiguous goals into estimable, sequential tasks.
• Tools: Proficiency in enterprise PPM tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera) for Gantt charting, dependency tracking, and resource loading.
