Job summary

Burckhardt Compression AG in Pune is seeking a Project Manager to drive end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with design, planning, and manufacturing to ensure on-time completion within budget.

The role requires 5–7 years of mechanical/industrial experience, knowledge of rotating equipment, and familiarity with international standards. English proficiency is essential; German is a plus. On-site role with global project exposure.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial with 5–7 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment engineering.
• Familiar with API/ASME/ASTM/DIN standards.
• AutoCAD/UG experience is a plus.
• EMS R, site management experience is an advantage.
• Quality management systems EOHS knowledge.
• Proficiency in English; German language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of products/packages per purchase orders.
• Review contracts for technical and commercial specs with sales.
• Clarify technical/commercial disparities in PO with client.
• Obtain approvals for drawings, documents, and QA plan from client/authorities.
• Coordinate procurement of Bought out Equipment with Supply Chain.
• Interface with Design, Planning, and Manufacturing for smooth execution.
• Coordinate with consultants and third-party inspection for documentation.
• Ensure proper billing and dispatch documentation with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Accounts.
• Obtain performance test certificates from client.
• Coordinate with CSS for erection and commissioning milestones.
• Secure payments and bank guarantees from customer.
• Maintain QMS and EOHS procedures in project execution.

Position: Project Manager

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Responsible for the on-time delivery of the product/packages as per the purchase order.
• Review of contract with respect to technical and commercial specifications with sales.
• Obtain clarity on technical and commercial disparities if any in the purchase order from the client.
• Obtain approval of drawings, documents and Quality Assurance Plan from client, consultant and third party inspection agencies.
• Expedite procurement of Bought out Equipment’s in Co-ordination with Supply chain management.
• Interface with Design, Planning, Manufacturing to smooth execution of the project.
• Expedite inspection with Consultants, Third Party Inspection Agencies and Client and co- coordinating with Quality Assurance Dept for relevant documentation required for completion of inspection.
• Co-ordinate with Manufacturing, Logistics and Accounts Dept to ensure proper documentation of billing and dispatch.
• Obtain Performance approval test certificate from Client/Customers.
• Interface with CSS for timely erection and commissioning of packages.
• Obtain payments / relevant bank guarantees from customer.
• Maintain and follow defined quality management system in the project execution.
• Update and maintain appropriate MIS.
• Maintain & Adhere QMS & EOHS procedures.

Education/ experience / languages:

• BE / B Tech (Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial) 5-7 years of experience
• Sound knowledge of rotating / static equipment's engineering
• Knowledge of international standards like API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD / UG for 2D & 3D modeling will be an added advantage.
• EMSR, site management / construction experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of QMS & EOHS
• Proficiency in English
• Language skill in German would be added advantage

• Cost – Projected Vs Actual
• This role primary responsibility remains end to end customer interaction i.e. Internal as well as external to complete the project on time and within the given cost.
• This demands the sound techno commercial knowledge.
