Job summary

Ghar Soaps is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Projects & Infrastructure to lead end-to-end execution of factory, office, warehouse and other infrastructure initiatives in Pune. The role demands hands-on planning, strong vendor coordination, and meticulous budgeting to deliver on time and within cost.

You will coordinate civil/electrical/plumbing works, work with architects and contractors, review drawings and BOQs, monitor progress, manage risks, ensure safety and compliance, and hand

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • 4–5 years of project management experience in factory/office/industrial projects.
  • Experience setting up factories/offices from scratch strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil, interior, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related works.
  • Strong vendor and contractor management skills.
  • Good negotiation and cost-control abilities.
  • Strong project planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to read drawings, BOQs, layouts, and project specifications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute factory, office, warehouse, and infrastructure setup projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop project timelines, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and execution schedules.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and dependencies and take corrective action proactively.
  • Factory & Office Setup: Manage end-to-end execution of new factory and office setups, renovations, expansions, and relocations.
  • Coordinate civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, interiors, furniture, and other infrastructure-related activities.
  • Work with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure designs and specifications are implemented correctly.
  • Conduct regular site visits and monitor on-ground execution.
  • Ensure all work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage contractors, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Obtain and compare quotations and ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor contractor performance, work quality, manpower deployment, and timelines.
  • Coordinate multiple vendors on-site and ensure smooth execution without conflicts or delays.
  • Review contractor bills and verify work completion before approvals.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and ensure execution within approved costs.
  • Track project expenses and identify cost overruns.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors to optimize project costs.
  • Maintain project cost sheets and provide regular budget vs. actual updates.
  • Ensure effective control over project-related CAPEX and expenses.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to required quality, safety, and statutory standards.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams for fire safety, electrical, building, environmental, and other applicable compliances.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination between management, internal teams, architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Provide regular project updates, including timelines, budgets, risks, and key challenges.
  • Escalate critical issues to management with appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Projects completed on time and within approved budgets.
  • Successful factory, office, and warehouse setup and handover.
  • Effective control of project CAPEX.
  • Vendor and contractor performance management.
  • Quality and timely execution of civil, interior, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related works.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager – Projects & Infrastructure to manage end-to-end execution of factory, office, warehouse, and other infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up factories/offices from scratch, managing civil and interior work, coordinating contractors and vendors, controlling project budgets, and ensuring timely project completion.

This role requires strong project management, vendor management, execution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, architects, consultants, contractors, and management.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably involving factory, office, warehouse, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Proven experience in setting up factories/offices from scratch will be strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil, interior, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other infrastructure works.
  • Strong vendor and contractor management skills.
  • Good negotiation and cost-control abilities.
  • Strong project planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, BOQs, layouts, and project specifications.
