Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager / Project Manager for CFS/IBMS projects based in Mumbai with frequent travel to Surat and other sites in Maharashtra. The role covers project execution, testing, commissioning and delivery for large-scale IBMS systems in commercial and industrial settings.

The candidate should have a strong background in IBMS, building management systems, and related fire, access, CCTV, PA and BMS technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–15 years of experience in execution and project management of IBMS/CFS projects.
• PMP candidate preferred; MS Project and Primavera knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of IBMS/CFS projects.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Handle stakeholder communication and provide regular project status updates.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, project standards, and Johnson Controls quality guidelines.
• Support project documentation, risk management, and change management activities.
• Drive timely closure of project punch points and successful project sign-off.

Job Summary

The candidate should have hands-on experience in project execution, testing, commissioning, and delivery of IBMS systems for large-scale projects. The role will be based in Mumbai and requires frequent travel to project sites in Surat and Maharashtra.

Required Experience & Skills

• PMP candidate is preferred, MS project knowledge, Primavera
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS)
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • CCTV & Surveillance Systems
  • PA System
  • Building Automation Systems (BMS)
• Proven experience in Testing & Commissioning and project delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project activities across locations.

Preferred Profile

• Experience managing RIL/L&T/Adani projects from execution through commissioning.
• Familiarity with industry standards, project management practices, and customer-facing roles.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Surat and Maharashtra project sites.
