The role involves overseeing loading plans, RFQ tracking, and developing overseas agents for door-to-door solutions in project cargo across India, including oil & gas sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead Break Bulk Projects & Offshore Marine division agency vertical.
• Make strategies for business development. Regular client visits for existing and prospective clients.
• Ensure client retention by getting involved in all operational exigencies.
• Interact with vessel owners and track vessel positions as per market trend.
• Ensure project cargo is loaded per pre-approved plan and method statements by the marine warranty surveyor.
• Develop overseas agents and partners network for door-to-door solutions.
• Promote capabilities in handling project cargo pan-India and nominate business.
• Vendor development and meetings with subcontractors to gauge market conditions.
• Frequent port visits to build relationships and monitor cargo volumes.
• Track Project RFQs and guide clients in project and normal import/export operations.
• Head vessel agency division for Mumbai & Kakinada ports for oil & gas, offshore vessels and drilling rigs.
• Engage EPC contractors and rig owners for agency opportunities.
• Monitor rig movements and coordinate with port, pilot, and MWS to avoid downtime.

Job description

Key Requirements:

Lead Break Bulk Projects & Offshore Marine division Agency vertical.

Make strategies for business development. Regular Client visits for the existing & prospective clients. Have regular feedback, basis feedback, make the team aware of the service delivery deliverables. Ensuring client retention by getting involved in all operational exigency.

Interaction with the vessel owners & keeping a track on the vessel positions as per market trend.

Ensure the project cargo is loaded as per the pre-approved plan, method statement by the marine warranty surveyor. Get involved in clearing all the punch points raised by the charterers in loading offloading & lashing arrangements.

Booking note to be signed safeguarding interests of all involved, mitigating the risks.

Check on the documentation, BL / IGM , EGM filing for the break bulk cargo.

Develop overseas Agents, partners network for door-to-door solutions. Promote our capabilities in handling project cargo Pan India basis & try to get the nomination business.

Vendor development, ensure the subcontract works are awarded to competent vendors. Have frequent meetings with them to understand the market situation & competition.

Frequent visit to ports, to develop relationship & check on the cargo volumes & type of cargo trading in current market conditions.

Check & track Project RFQs, budgetary enquires, Guide Clients in regards to Project & Normal Importation & Exports.

Head Vessel agency division for Mumbai & Kakinada Port for Oil & Gas, Offshore vessels & drilling Rigs

Keep a tab on the projects awarded by the operators & approach the EPC contractors, RIG owners, Vessel owners for getting the agency business.

Tab the Offshore Rig owners for UWLID, give them personalized solutions for the challenges which come during the survey.

Maintain relationship with Dry dock facilities, vessel technical managers.

Have frequent visits to DGS, Class offices.

Personally monitor the RIG move in case of Off hire & On hire. Ensure there is no down time for the RIG owners, due to lack of coordination between port, Pilot, MWS & others involved in the movement.

Get the Towing permission from DGS, MMD, Class- Which includes making of Towing plan, Approval of Plan from Class, conducting towing inspection, solving the technical queries raised during inspection.

Monitor the Processes & KPI management.

Meet Budget & Financial targets by the management.
