Job summary

SolarSquare is hiring a Project Manager – Operations to own end-to-end solar project execution for residential customers across India. You will coordinate design, supply chain, installation, and service teams to ensure on-time delivery with high quality and customer delight.

You will manage multiple projects, conduct site checks, ensure safety compliance, and be the primary on-ground face of SolarSquare in your region. Occasional weekend work and travel within the region are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil preferred).
• 2–5 years in project execution/field operations in solar, construction, electrical, telecom, or infrastructure.
• Excellent communication in local language plus Hindi/English.

• Take charge of residential solar projects from post-sale to final commissioning.
• Create detailed project plans with timelines, material & team allocation.
• Coordinate with design, supply chain, installation, and service teams for seamless execution.
• Conduct or validate pre-installation site checks and address feasibility/civil issues.
• Ensure roof readiness, structure alignment, and safety compliance before installation.
• Supervise on-ground installation teams and external vendors.
• Be the key point of contact for customers during project execution.

Job Title - Project Manager – Operations

Role Overview

As a Project Manager – Operations, you will be the end-to-end owner of solar project execution for residential customers in your assigned territory. From post-sale handover to installation and commissioning, you will ensure that every solar system is delivered on time, with high quality, and to customer delight.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate with internal teams (design, supply chain, installation), and be the face of SolarSquare on-ground.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Take charge of residential solar projects from post-sale to final commissioning
• Create detailed project plans with timelines, material & team allocation
• Coordinate with design, supply chain, installation, and service teams for seamless execution

Site Inspections & Readiness

• Conduct or validate pre-installation site checks and address feasibility or civil issues
• Ensure roof readiness, structure alignment, and safety compliance before installation
• Supervise on-ground installation teams and external vendors
• Ensure adherence to SolarSquare’s quality and safety SOPs

Customer Interaction

• Be the key point of contact for customers during the project execution phase
• Provide regular project updates, handle on-ground issues, and ensure a delightful experience

Documentation & Handover

• Ensure all technical documents, compliance checklists, and handover kits are complete
• Coordinate for net-metering and project commissioning with DISCOMs

Reporting & Review

• Maintain accurate project tracking using internal tools/CRMs
• Report daily progress, bottlenecks, and field escalations to Cluster Ops Manager

Key Requirements

Education:

• Graduate or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil preferred)

Experience:

• 2–5 years in project execution/field operations in solar, construction, electrical, telecom, or infrastructure

Skills:

• Strong coordination & field execution skills
• Problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
• Familiarity with MS Excel/Google Sheets, CRM tools
• Excellent communication in local language + Hindi/English

Other Requirements:

• Two-wheeler with valid license
• Smartphone with internet access
• Willingness to travel within assigned region
• Comfortable working on weekends (weekday off)
