Job summary

Alstom Transportation in Kochi invites a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement and operations, driving projects from transfer to close-out with focus on QCDP.

You will define project strategies, ensure compliance with Alstom PM processes, manage risks and stakeholder relationships, and report progress to senior management.

The role requires a Masters in PM and 5+ years of multi-site leadership; rail signalling exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters degree with a qualification in Project Management.
• 5 years of experience as a sub-system/component manager, qualified project manager, or manager of an operational scope.
• Experience in managing multi-site and multi-functional teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of project management processes and railway products/systems.
• Exposure to the rail signalling industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with Alstom's way of working for efficient process execution (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Owning the Project Management Work Package (WP) and being accountable for Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) performance.
• Optimizing project financial performance, with a focus on margin and cash.
• Defining project objectives and allocating resources to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Leading and coordinating project teams, including internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and managing variation orders.
• Proactively managing risks, savings, and opportunities to drive project success.
• Reporting project progress and KPIs to senior management with transparency.
• Maintaining compliance with Alstom's Code of Ethics, EHS, Railway Safety, and Quality standards.
