Overview
We are seeking someone to join our Project Management team to manage the External Financial, Regulatory & Capital Reporting function comprising various external filings to the US & EMEA regulators.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units worldwide, providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Director‑level position within the Project Management team.
Responsibilities
We have built strong techno‑functional teams that partner with our offices globally, taking ownership of systems and products. The role involves working with geographically dispersed groups across Finance and IT in a very dynamic, rapidly evolving, high‑pressure, high‑visibility project setting. Primary responsibilities include user acceptance testing, business analysis duties—capturing and documenting requirements as user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and liaising with end‑users for sign‑off. The candidate will collaborate with technology counterparts as part of the SDLC, conducting functional enhancements, bug fixes, and regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new code.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in technology, accounting, or an MBA preferred from leading institutions.
- Consulting or business analyst experience in FP&A, Treasury, Product Control or Regulatory Reporting with a top‑tier global bank preferred.
- Experience working as a functional business analyst on technology implementation projects related to Axiom Regulatory Reporting (EMEA/AMS), Capital, BASEL III/BASEL III End Game, or Product Control.
- Proven experience in automation and digital tooling projects, with a strong understanding of automation technologies and tools.
- Experience managing a team on diverse requirements across different project squads.
- Experience managing projects and a strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Functional knowledge of EMEA/US Regulatory Reporting, CCAR, Dodd‑Frank (DFAST), 14A/Q, FFIEC, LCR Reporting.
- Ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies for reduced time‑to‑market.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report key issues and progress updates accurately and in a timely manner to stakeholders.
- Strong coordination across functional groups—stakeholders, IT, SMEs—and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Responsibility for and leadership of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in‑depth knowledge of finance functional areas, products and/or client segments.
- Adherence to the firm’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactive identification of ways to reduce risk.
- Commitment to embody and set an example of the firm’s values, holding yourself and others accountable to firm standards.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Review and analysis of business requirements/user stories to validate acceptance criteria and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Test strategy planning and management of UAT and test cycles with all stakeholders—IT, users, and project team.
- Application of testing methodologies, principles, and processes to define and implement key metrics for managing and assessing the testing process, including test execution and defect resolution.
- Implementation of process improvements, including automation of testing where appropriate.
- Experience across a range of financial products (Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Loans).
- Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills to perform data quality gap analysis, root cause issue analysis, and data reconciliations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership with the ability to manage a diverse matrix team.
- In‑depth knowledge of finance functional areas, product and/or client segments, and technical skills, as well as an understanding of the industry and competitive environment.
- Ability to operate independently for most job responsibilities.
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and to innovate processes.
- At least four years of relevant experience are generally expected.
Systems
- High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint.
- Good expertise in data analytics tools like Alteryx and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Axiom v10, Signavio, UIPath is a plus.
