As a Software Project Lead – Product & Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end software product development programs and driving the successful execution of complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives. This role requires ownership of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including product requirements, architecture reviews, development, quality assurance, release management, deployment, and post-release support. You will lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams comprising Product Management, Software Development, Platform Engineering, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Sustenance Engineering, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical strategy, and delivery commitments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical leadership, project execution, stakeholder management, and people management capabilities, with the ability to build, coach, and lead high-performing engineering teams while delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The role carries responsibility for talent development, performance management, organizational capability building, succession planning, employee engagement, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leaders, Quality Teams, Operations Teams, and global stakeholders to define product roadmaps, manage delivery risks, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful product releases. This position plays a critical role in supporting innovation and digital product development initiatives for Marmon Foodservice Technologies through Marmon GIC.
Lead software product development programs from concept through production deployment and sustainment. Own project planning, estimation, execution strategy, delivery governance, and release management activities. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resource allocation, and dependencies. Drive predictable execution while balancing technical quality, business priorities, and delivery commitments. Establish program governance mechanisms, KPIs, and delivery metrics to monitor project health.
Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate product vision into executable engineering roadmaps. Drive technical reviews and support architecture decisions for cloud-native, API-driven, and distributed software solutions. Ensure engineering teams adhere to coding standards, design principles, security requirements, and software quality practices. Facilitate technical decision-making and cross-functional collaboration across development, QA, DevOps, and platform teams. Promote innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across product development initiatives.
Govern all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle from requirements management through deployment and support. Establish development processes, quality gates, release controls, and engineering governance practices. Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans while proactively removing delivery roadblocks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, quality, and operational processes. Ensure compliance with software quality, cybersecurity, and organizational standards.
Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to define validation strategies, test plans, and release acceptance criteria. Drive adoption of automated testing, continuous testing, and shift-left quality practices. Lead defect management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and release readiness reviews. Ensure software quality objectives are consistently achieved across all releases.
Partner with DevOps teams to establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes. Support cloud infrastructure planning, deployment strategies, monitoring, scalability, and operational readiness. Ensure smooth transition of software solutions from development to production environments. Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on reliability, observability, security, and maintainability.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Software Engineers, Technical Leads, QA Engineers, and DevOps professionals. Establish individual and team goals aligned with business objectives and engineering roadmaps. Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and regular coaching sessions to support professional growth and employee engagement. Drive workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and resource allocation activities to ensure effective project execution. Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning initiatives across the engineering organization. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning. Partner with Human Resources and Engineering Leadership to support talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Promote knowledge sharing, cross-functional collaboration, and engineering excellence across teams.
Mentor and develop software engineers, technical leads, and emerging engineering leaders. Provide technical guidance, career coaching, and leadership development support to team members. Support competency development and create learning plans aligned with organizational and business needs. Drive continuous improvement through coaching, knowledge sharing, and adoption of engineering best practices. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Champion adoption of modern software engineering practices, tools, and methodologies across teams. Encourage knowledge transfer and collaboration across geographically distributed engineering teams.

Proven experience collaborating with global engineering teams, preferably with US-based stakeholders. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 10% annually). Valid B1/B2 US Visa is an added advantage.
