Job summary

Cyient Limited in Hyderabad seeks a senior aerospace Program/Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery, driving quality, cost control, and schedule adherence across complex aero-engine projects.

You will manage plan governance, mentor engineers, and coordinate globally with OEM customers, while pursuing continuous improvement and digital engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/aero-engine engineering and project management.
• Expertise in Engineering Change Management, MRB/NC, PLM, and RCA.
• Strong customer, planning, risk, and financial management skills.
• Leads 10–50+ engineers in global delivery models.
• Experience with global aerospace OEM customers, preferably US-based.
• Proven track record in productivity and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of aerospace projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule.
• Manage plans, milestones, resources, risks, issues, and governance.
• Lead engineering activities across aero domains and MRB/NC disposition.
• Interface daily with global OEM customers, drive issue resolution.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams, manage staffing and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Drive recovery, Lean/VSM, productivity, and TAT improvements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, analytics and digital engineering.

Job description

Experience: 10–15 Years
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering; M.Tech preferred
Certification: PMP® / PMI-ACP / CSM®

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of aerospace engineering projects, ensuring quality, cost, schedule, productivity, and customer commitments.
• Manage project plans, milestones, resources, risks, issues, financials, and delivery governance.
• Lead engineering activities across Aero Engine Product Engineering, Engineering Changes, MRB/NC disposition, Manufacturing Support, Cost/Weight Reduction, Field Issues, and RCA/Corrective Actions.
• Act as the primary day-to-day interface with global aerospace OEM customers; conduct project reviews and drive issue resolution.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams; manage staffing, workload, competency development, and performance.
• Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Drive project recovery, continuous improvement, Lean/VSM, productivity, and TAT improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, analytics, AI, and digital engineering to improve project efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in aerospace/aero-engine engineering and project management.
• Expertise in Engineering Change Management, MRB/NC, Product Lifecycle Management, Configuration Management, Manufacturing Support, and RCA.
• Strong capabilities in customer management, project planning, risk management, resource planning, financial management, and stakeholder management.
• Experience leading 10–50+ engineers in global onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Experience with global aerospace OEM customers, preferably US-based.
• Experience in productivity improvement, cost reduction, engineering transformation, or automation initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter, Siemens NX, JIRA, MS Project/Smartsheet, MS Excel/PowerPoint, and AI-enabled tools.
• Project Health tracking using EVMS system
