Job summary

Unimech Aerospace Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a candidate to oversee project planning and supplier interactions. You will be responsible for categorizing parts and ensuring quality and consistency in manufacturing.

The ideal applicant should possess strong negotiation and communication skills, familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, and be adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with suppliers in a global environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or aerospace industries preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Categorize parts into part families based on manufacturing process involved and record part family data into the part risk assessment database.
• Identify complexities in the component manufacturing such as tolerance, materials, etc.
• Responsible for overall planning and tracking of the project with hands on experience.
• Define route card, stage drawings, identify failure points and required precautions to be taken, identify critical points and provide early warnings to mitigate the risk of schedule slippage and timely update about project-to-project management.
• Allocate the work within team based on the priorities, educate and ensure the team understands the final product and assembly requirement and hand hold team whenever required.
• Ensure quality and consistency of results.
• Supplier interaction, communication and negotiation.
• Be aligned with company’s vision and mission.
