Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result‑oriented Project Incharge (Civil) to lead the execution of utility‑scale solar PV projects. The candidate selected will be responsible for end‑to‑end management of civil construction activities, project planning, client coordination, billing, contractor management, quality assurance, and timely project delivery.
The ideal candidate should possess hands‑on experience in large‑scale ground‑mounted solar projects and demonstrate strong leadership, planning, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare detailed execution plans in line with project timelines and contractual milestones.
- Develop weekly and monthly work schedules and monitor progress against baseline plans.
- Track project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks.
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
2. Site Execution & Construction Management
- Lead day‑to‑day execution of all civil construction activities.
- Supervise site grading, earthworks, roads, drainage, equipment foundations, inverter stations, control rooms, and fencing works.
- Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical teams for seamless project execution.
- Monitor site productivity and optimise resource utilisation.
3. Client Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary site‑level interface between the company and client representatives.
- Attend client review meetings and progress discussions.
- Present project updates, milestone achievements, and recovery plans to clients.
- Address client observations and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Coordinate with consultants, inspectors, and third‑party agencies for approvals and inspections.
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Verify contractor measurements and certify executed quantities.
- Prepare and submit client running account (RA) bills as per contractual requirements.
- Track billing milestones and payment schedules.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors and finance teams for invoice processing.
- Monitor project quantities against BOQ and identify scope variations.
- Prepare variation claims, extra item justifications and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely submission and certification of bills to maintain project cash flow.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with project schedules.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, and equipment utilisation.
- Verify contractor bills and work completion records.
- Resolve execution challenges and coordinate corrective actions.
6. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with approved quality plans and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks before, during, and after execution.
- Monitor concrete works, foundation construction, earthwork compaction, and structural activities.
- Coordinate laboratory testing and maintain quality documentation.
- Ensure all quality records are maintained and readily available for client audits.
7. Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Ensure strict implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure safe work practices across all construction activities.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective measures.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in utility‑scale solar PV projects.
- Experience handling projects of 50 MW or above preferred.
- Proven exposure to planning, billing, client coordination, and site execution.
- Experience working in remote project locations will be an added advantage.
