Job summary

Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur seeks a Project Executive Officer on a temporary/contractual basis to support data analytics, validation and reporting. The role requires a degree in a relevant field and strong skills in Python/SQL, Excel, and BI tools.

Experience with Google Colab, Jupyter, and cloud platforms is a plus. The candidate will perform statistical analyses, create visualizations, and communicate trends to stakeholders within deadlines.

Position

Project Executive Officer

Nature of position:

Temporary / Contractual

Location

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in physics/chemistry/mathematics or relevant engineering domains

• Experience in data analysis, validation, and reporting
• Working knowledge of Python / SQL for data handling and basic analysis
• Good knowledge of MS Office features e.g., MS Excel, Excel Formulas, MS Power point etc., and Google Spreadsheet
• Hands-on data analytics & visualization experience with tools like gnuplot/MATLAB/Microsoft Power BI/Tableau/D3.js, or similar, in Linux and Windows platforms & cloud platforms
• Strong analytical, data organizational and management skills
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and communicate analytics as per requirements
• Ability to work on tabulations, data edits, data validation, data cleansing & other data processing activities as required within deadline
• Relevant certification, such as Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Microsoft-certified Data Analyst, etc. is a plus
• Hands-on experience with Google Colab and Jupyter Notebook is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud-based tools and platforms for data processing is a plus

Desired Experience

3–5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data management, or analytics-related roles.
