Job summary

DELTA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design, engineering, qualification, manufacturing, and deployment of Data Center Power & Thermal Infrastructure, including UPS, PDU, CDU, power electronics, and associated electrical systems.

The role requires strong project management capabilities and comprehensive knowledge of data center infrastructure, electrical power systems, thermal management, and product development.

Role & responsibilities

Project Manager Data Center Infrastructure | UPS / PDU / CDU / Power Electronics

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design, development, engineering, qualification, manufacturing, and deployment of Data Center Power & Thermal Infrastructure products, including UPS, PDU, CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit), power electronics, and associated electrical systems.

The role requires strong project management capabilities combined with a solid understanding of data center infrastructure, electrical power systems, power electronics, thermal management, and product development. The candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, suppliers, customers, and data center stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required performance and reliability standards.

Project Leadership

• Own end-to-end project execution from concept and design through qualification, production, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
• Resource management to achieve planned progress .
• Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, and risk registers.
• Drive cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, thermal, controls, firmware, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and field engineering.
• Track project progress and proactively address schedule, cost, technical, quality, and resource risks.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide clear status reports to senior management and customers.
• Co-ordination with Engineering & Product Development team to get desired product and implement design changes as per customer requirement
• Support site deployment, integration, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, system integration testing, performance testing, and reliability demonstrations.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, training, handover, and after-sales support.

Sound knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure

• UPS systems modular, centralized, online/double-conversion, battery/energy-storage integration.
• PDU systems rack PDU, intelligent PDU, busway and power distribution solutions.
• CDU systems liquid cooling infrastructure, pumps, heat exchangers, controls, monitoring, and facility-water interfaces.
• Power electronics rectifiers, inverters, converters, DC/DC systems, power supplies, semiconductor-based switching systems, and energy-storage interfaces.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

• Coordinate prototype, pilot, and mass-production readiness with Solution, Engineering, Design and Production teams.
• Drive supplier development, component qualification, tooling, long-lead material planning, and procurement activities.
• Monitor BOM, material availability, production capacity, and supplier risks.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary project interface for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Pre site visit and Coordination and presence with customer during meetings.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering and project deliverables.
• Lead technical and commercial project reviews with customers, suppliers, contractors, and data center operators.
• Resource management as per site Requirement
• Manage customer escalations and ensure timely closure of open issues.

Technical Knowledge

• UPS architecture and power conversion
• Battery VRLA and LI-B
• PDU and electrical distribution systems
• Busbar/busway systems
• Liquid cooling and CDU architecture
• BMS/EMS/PMS and monitoring systems
• PLC, controls, instrumentation, and communication interfaces
• Redundancy architectures such as N, N+1, 2N, and distributed redundancy
• Data center electrical and thermal infrastructure
• System integration and commissioning

Project Management Skills

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera or equivalent.
• Strong skills in project scheduling, resource planning, cost management, risk management, and change control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• PMP/CDCP certification is an advantage.
