Job summary

HITACHI INDIA PVT. LTD is seeking a Project Engineering Manager in Bengaluru, Karnataka to oversee complex railway/metro projects. The role requires strong project management, leadership, and interface with clients and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring QA/QC, coordinating with TCMS and signaling teams, reviewing design and test documents, and leading technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum 12 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics or Communications Engineering.
• 12+ years of overall experience including 8+ years in railway/metro and 2+ years in UTO/driverless trains.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
• Interface between TCMS and subsystems including signalling for ensuring the quality of the software deliverables.
• Prepare and review design documents, test specifications with respect to the design requirements collected from the customer.
• Support the T&C team during tests by providing technical information.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Requirement management.
• Managing all factories progress and deliverables.
• Lead all the technical meetings with the Internal and External networks and Provision of Meeting Minutes for all technical meetings.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Working experience in the design / commissioning of RSC GUI and TCMS data server will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of SDTV2 data packets and Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) is an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience including minimum of 8 years in railway/metro, and minimum of 2 years of involvement in UTO/driverless trains (desirable).

Education

Bachelor of Electrical or electronics or communication degree in Engineering is preferred.
