Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 5–7 years total experience with at least 3+ years in relevant roles.
• Proficiency with image processing tools such as OpenCV and Matlab.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop Computer Vision algorithms and train/validate ML models for agri problems.
• Create proofs of concept for further development.
• Coordinate annotation tasks with partners.
• Collaborate with Global R&Ae, Agronomy, and Product Engineering teams.

AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Sr Project Engineer, Research & Advanced Engineering.

We're seeking a Project Engineer, Research & Advanced Engineering to join our team in Pune. This role will focus on developing new concepts and technology for Agricultural Machinery including Sprayers and Planters. The Project engineer will design and develop assistance systems such as Non-GNSS guidance systems and operator assistance systems, paving the way for robotics and unmanned agricultural machines. Utilize machine learning and computer vision to enhance environmental perception and automate sprayer and planter processes. Work with a variety of sensors, including cameras, radars, and lidars, to advance autonomy and robotics in agricultural machinery.

Your Impact

• Develop Computer Vision algorithms and train and validate machine learning models to solve agricultural problems
• Develop and deliver proof of concepts for further development
• Coordinate Annotation tasks with internal or external partners
• Collaborate with Global R&AE, Agronomy, and Product Engineering teams
• Create patentable design features to maintain competitive advantage

Your Experience And Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 5-7 of total years experience and 3+ years of relevant experience with:
• Image processing tools (OpenCV, Matlab)
• Machine learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment, agronomy and farming practices
