We require an OTC for a PSU client for 12 months contract. :
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical documentation and off-taker engagement
- Sit with the client team on the Green Ammonia project and own the work - preparing documents of a standard that can be put in front of off-takers and lenders
- Support engagement with international off-takers, particularly in Japan, including material for discussions with METI and associated agencies under the low-carbon ammonia schemes.
- Draft and assemble responses to RFPs, EOIs and off-taker information requests, working with the commercial team on the technical content.
Tendering and consultant coordination
- Read and analyse FEED and other technical deliverables prepared by licensors, EPCs and consultants, and identify gaps, risks and inconsistencies
- Think through and draft the Scope of Work for tender documents with the help of technical consultants across packages (EPC, owner's engineer, technology licensor, balance of plant, utilities), and support bid evaluation on the technical side
- Coordinate day-to-day with external technical consultants and vendors - setting direction, reviewing submissions, and keeping deliverables aligned with project requirements.
Cost and design optimization
- Review plant configuration, equipment selection and specification with a view to optimizing capital and operating cost
- Challenge over-specification in vendor and consultant submissions, and bring benchmarks from prior projects to cost discussions.
Experience & Skills
- 6-7+ years in process/project engineering in ammonia, hydrogen, fertiliser, refining or petrochemicals, with recent exposure to green ammonia or green hydrogen projects.
- Has worked on at least one project through FEED and into tendering or execution - able to read a FEED package critically, not only summarize it
- Exposure to export ammonia offtake, particularly Japanese or Korean buyers, and familiarity with the Japanese low-carbon ammonia policy framework (METI price-gap support, co-firing requirements).
- Preparation of brochure, pitch document, summarizing and synthesizing technical details in the pitch document and RFPs.
- Tendering and contracting exposure - has written or evaluated EPC/package tenders and understands how scope definition drives cost and risk.
- Grounding in renewable energy as it applies to hydrogen production - RE sizing, hybrid solar/wind configurations, firm-power structures and the interaction between RE variability and plant design.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple external consultants and vendors and holding them to deliverables.
- Cost optimization / value engineering instinct - able to tell where cost genuinely sits and where specification can be relaxed.
