Job summary

Gevernova in India seeks a Project Engineer – HVDC to support C&P activities from engineering through commissioning. You will coordinate design, documentation, system integration, testing and site support to ensure delivery meets quality, schedule, cost and customer requirements.

Applicants should have 3+ years in electrical engineering, with preferred HVDC/FACTS exposure and strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Relocation and international project exposure are possible with this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering projects.
• Experience in HVDC, FACTS, substation automation or protection & control is preferred.
• Understanding of power system protection, control systems, SCADA/automation and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and execution of HVDC Control & Protection systems for ongoing projects.
• Review and manage C&P design documents, functional specifications, interface documents and protection philosophies.
• Coordinate with system, hardware, software/automation, commissioning, site teams and customers.
• Participate in design reviews, customer meetings and technical discussions.
• Track engineering progress and support timely closure of issues.
• Contribute to FAT, SAT and commissioning preparation activities.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, quality procedures and EHS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and execution ofHVDC Control & Protection systemsfor ongoing projects.
• Assist in coordination, review, and management of:
  • C&P design documents

  • Technical reports and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including:
  • System engineering
  • Hardware engineering
  • Software/automation engineering
  • Commissioning teams

• Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and technical discussions.
• Track engineering progress and support timely closure of technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Engineering, or related discipline from tier one college with 3+ years of experience
• Preferred experience inHVDC, FACTS, substation automation, protection & control, or power systems engineering.
• Understanding of:
