Swan Corp in Pipavav, Gujarat, is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator (Refits) to manage ship repair, retrofit, dry docking and vessel conversion projects at a busy shipyard. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor schedules and budgets, and ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires 8–15 years in shipbuilding or related offshore projects, with strong Primavera P6 or MS Project skills and solid communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's/Diploma in mechanical/marine/naval disciplines.
• 8-15 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, dry docking, marine retrofit, or offshore projects.
• Experience coordinating refit, repair, conversion, or maintenance projects in a shipyard environment.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and project reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, and vessel conversion projects.
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Track milestones, critical paths, and daily progress for timely completion.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial and Subcontractors.
• Monitor material availability, vendor deliveries and manpower deployment.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports for stakeholders and clients.
• Identify schedule deviations and risks and support mitigation plans.
• Coordinate technical queries, inspections, class surveys, client meetings and document approvals.
• Assist in change management, variation orders, and tracking additional work.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, class regulations, and HSE policies.
• Support budget tracking, project cost monitoring and resource utilization.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes and dashboards.
• Liaise with ship owners, classification societies, consultants and vendors for effective communication.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive Project Coordinator- Refits to support the planning, execution, and delivery of ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, and vessel conversion projects. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring project schedules, tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, and vessel conversion projects.
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Track project milestones, critical paths, and daily progress, ensuring timely completion of work packages.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial, and Subcontractors for seamless project execution.
• Monitor material availability, vendor deliveries, and manpower deployment to support project schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Identify schedule deviations, project risks, and bottlenecks, and support the implementation of mitigation plans.
• Coordinate technical queries, inspections, class surveys, client meetings, and document approvals.
• Assist in change management, variation orders, and tracking additional work during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, class regulations, and HSE policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 8-15 years of experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Dry Docking, Marine Retrofit, or Offshore Projects.
• Experience coordinating refit, repair, conversion, or maintenance projects in a shipyard environment.
• Strong understanding of ship repair methodologies, dry docking activities, and marine production processes.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
• Familiarity with classification society requirements is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.

Preferred Experience

• Ship repair, retrofit, or vessel conversion projects.
• Defence, commercial, offshore, or offshore support vessels.
• Dry docking, BWTS/Scrubber retrofits, steel renewal, piping, mechanical, electrical, or structural modifications.
