Job summary

IGF India is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator Civil Engineer to lead a community development project focused on revitalizing Anganwadi Centres in Bengaluru. You will oversee infrastructure improvements, coordinate with government stakeholders and vendors, and drive capacity building and digital literacy initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering background and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with strong project management and community engagement skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil) required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in civil projects, site supervision, infrastructure development, CSR projects, or NGO sector.
  • Experience in community development or social impact projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise refurbishment at Anganwadi Centres, including painting, minor civil repairs, flooring, electrical work, and water filter installation.
  • Manage procurement and installation of mats, stationery, and other infrastructure items.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and timely completion of work.
  • Liaise with local government departments to obtain approvals and ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, trainers, and stakeholders for effective implementation.
  • Organize and facilitate training for Anganwadi and ASHA workers.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and passionate Project Coordinator Civil Engineer to lead the implementation of a community development project focused on revitalizing Anganwadi Centres. This role offers an opportunity to work on infrastructure improvement, community engagement, capacity building, and stakeholder coordination to create meaningful social impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise refurbishment activities at Anganwadi Centres, including painting, minor civil repairs, flooring, electrical work, furniture restoration, and installation of water filters.
  • Manage procurement and installation of project materials such as mats, stationery, and other infrastructure requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality standards, and timely completion of work.
  • Liaise with local government departments and authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, trainers, and other stakeholders for effective implementation.
  • Organize and facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for Anganwadi and ASHA workers.
  • Support digital literacy initiatives and community engagement activities.
  • Track project milestones, monitor budgets, collect feedback, and prepare project progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project timelines
Eligibility
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
  • 2–3 years of experience in civil projects, site supervision, infrastructure development, CSR projects, or NGO sector.
  • Experience in community development or social impact projects will be an added advantage.
