Job summary

PTC India in Bhopal invites a Project Analyst (Regulatory) on a 1-year contract to join its regulatory team. The role requires drafting tariff petitions and regulatory filings with strong knowledge of the power sector. You will engage with ERC/APTEL and coordinate with government bodies to obtain approvals.

The candidate should have a BE/B.Tech, MBA preferred, and at least 3 years of relevant regulatory experience in power purchase and policy matters. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech degree with MBA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of regulatory and power purchase experience.
• Proven drafting skills for tariff petitions, ARR, appeals and filings.

Responsibilities

• Draft tariff petitions, ARR, appeals and replies for filing before ERC/APTEL.
• Handle regulatory and policy matters related to GENCOs, TRANSCO and DISCOM disputes.
• Coordinate with government bodies for regulatory approvals and filings.
• Apply knowledge of sector regulatory framework and power generation/distribution laws.

• Job Requirements:
• Proven drafting skills of Tariff petitions, ARR, appeals, replies and getting them filed before Electricity Regulatory Commission/APTEL etc.
• Handling regulatory and policy matters relating to the disputes between GENCOs, TRANSCO & DISCOM
• Co-ordinate with government bodys for the various regulatory approvals
• Thorough knowledge of Sector Regulatory framework & Understanding of Generation-Transmission- Distribution Legislation
• Knowledge of power trading, power sale/ purchase, open access, power exchanges, RECs, regulatory & statutory provisions etc., shall be preferred
• Understanding of the working of Indian Power System
• Excellent Analytical Skills and Command over MS- Office
• Highlight & escape foreseen delays or slippages in timelines, cost overruns etc.
• Preparation of Project Reports, MIS and other related documents etc.
• Capacity building and training of clients
• Ensures engineers and other personnel implements operating procedures to resolve system malfunctions
• Should preferably have an experience working with various types of clients including Government and Private Utilities.

• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years' of experience in Regulatory matters and Power purchase.
