Peepul is an education non-profit partnering with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to drive systemic reform at scale. This Programme Manager/Senior Programme Manager role centers on leading major program components, coordinating across geographies, and delivering high-quality training for teachers and school leaders.

The candidate will drive partnerships with government officials and other institutions to strengthen educational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Educational background in education, social sciences, development studies, or related disciplines is highly preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience designing and delivering capacity-building interventions in the education sector, preferably in school settings.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to oversee end-to-end training content development and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement: build relationships with government officials and education stakeholders in Madhya Pradesh and representing Peepul in high-level meetings.
• Training Content Design and Delivery: lead development and delivery of high-quality training content for Sandipani Vidyalaya Schools Program and oversee blended instructional design.
• Team Management and Development: lead a high-performing team, provide feedback, and support professional development.
• Policy Shaping and Thought Leadership: engage with government authorities to support education policy reforms and contribute to publications and conferences.

Peepul has been partnering with the School Education Department, Govt of MadhyaPradesh, for multiple years now. Working closely with the state bureaucratic leadership,Peepul has played a meaningful role in strengthening the education system of the state.The partnership has been a successful one – with national and international recognition ofthe work. Some of the flagship programmes of the state we are co-leading include:

• Sandipani Vidyalaya Teacher Professional Development programme : Thisinternational award-winning programme looks to strengthen the training, coachingand performance management of the ~300,000 teachers across the state.
  
• Sandipani Vidyalaya Schools : This breakthrough programme looks to build~10,000 ‘world-class’ public schools in the state, that enable excellence. In the first phase, there are 300 K-12 schools selected. Peepul is co-leading the AcademicSupport and Monitoring Unit.
  

Additionally, Peepul is also supporting the State in the implementation of the PM SHRIschools programme. The PM SHRI Programme is a five-year initiative started by theMinistry of Education that envisions to develop 14500 exemplar schools in the nation tomeet the demands of the 21st century. It aims to qualitatively strengthen the schools toshowcase the various aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.

In the first two phases of the programme, 553 schools have been identified in the State ofMadhya Pradesh, to be developed as PM SHRI schools. Peepul is supporting the design andimplementation of academic interventions under the programme.

About the role

The Programme Manager/ Senior Programme Manager at Peepul is purpose-driven, role-modelling the organisation'svalues through active sharing and inclusivity. Responsibilities would include (including but not limited to):

• Build strong relationships with government officials and educationstakeholders in Madhya Pradesh.
• Represent Peepul in high-level meetings and conferences related toeducation reform.
• Foster collaborations with other organisations and institutions for programimplementation.
  

Training Content Design and Delivery

• Lead the development and delivery of high-quality training content for theSandipani Vidyalaya Schools Program, catering to teachers, school leaders,and education officials.
• Oversee the end-to-end instructional design of blended training content,including the creation of engaging digital learning resources.o Establish standards for content design and implement processes to measurethe impact of the trainings.
• Identify and curate excellent training content from various sources, buildinga repository of professional development resources.
• Foster productive collaborations with knowledge partners across the state toenhance training content.

Team Management and Development

• Lead and manage a high-performing team, promoting innovation andcontinuous learning.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and support professionaldevelopment and foster a positive and inclusive work environment foret employee engagement and well-being.

Policy Shaping and Thought Leadership

• Engage with government authorities to support education policy reforms.
• Stay updated on national and international trends and best practices. Contribute to sharing successes and research findings through publicationsand conferences.

Qualifications and Role Requirements
