Qualifications

  • A relevant educational background in Education or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and running professional development programmes for teachers is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of direct classroom experience is preferred.
  • Experience working within government systems and an understanding of education structures in India is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality training content for teachers and school leaders.
  • Design, pilot and develop teacher training and support work, such as Professional Learning Circles, recognition mechanisms, remedial learning, and digital or face-to-face courses for teachers and headmasters, with a focus on assessment-based teaching, in partnership with government counterparts.
  • Apply your own content knowledge and classroom experience to build training that shifts how teachers think, what they know and how they teach.
  • Lead pilots of new ideas, write down what is learned, and keep improving the design so it works at scale.
  • Manage and coach 2 to 3 associates on facilitation and other workstream skills, if the team grows.
  • Build and keep relationships with outside partners, including consultants and education organisations, to stay current on good practice in professional development.
  • Create clear work planning systems so the project stays on track and the team knows what matters most.
  • Work with the in-house Monitoring and Evaluation team and outside experts to build evaluation tools that capture data and guide decisions.

Role

Peepul is hiring a Project Manager - Development Impact Bond to lead the design and implementation of teacher professional development and capacity-building initiatives under its Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) programme in Delhi. The role focuses on designing teacher training interventions, collaborating with government stakeholders, piloting innovative approaches, and strengthening assessment practices across MCD schools.

Requirements

  • Excellent facilitation and leadership skills, with the ability to support and influence a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and also collaborate with a diverse group of people.
  • Strong instructional design skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi.
  • Work on a five-year, outcome-funded project with a clear evidence base and real reach into government schools.
  • Lead a workstream end to end, from design through pilot to measurement, with room to shape how it evolves.
  • Grow as a people manager by coaching a small team of associates.
